Indonesian Terrorism Today

Terrorism, one of national hot issue in Indonesia. In the world, terrorism is very close to the radical moslems movement. Including, bomb making, suicide bombing, etc. In Indonesia this issue reached its peak position in 2002 (Bom Bali 1) and 2005 (Bom Bali 2). Hundreds people sentenced death by Jama’ah Islamiyah’s bombs placed in separate places in Bali. Then the issues resolved after arrestment of Dr. Azhari in 2005.

But today, these terrorism syndicates still existed in this countries. Densus 88 arrested eleven terrorist in four separate Province in Java island. the raids conducted in Jakarta; Bogor, West Java; Madiun, East Java; and Surakarta (Solo), Central Java. Those terrorist are member of Harakah Sunni for Indonesian (Hasmi) group. The police were still investigating whether the Hasmi group was linked to existing terrorist groups

In my opinion, it’s a pity that there are still existed people who fall to false radical Islam doctrines, the doctrines that made them so hostile to the others. Moreover, they are willing to sacrifice themselves for executing suicide bombing, on the contrary of the peace of humanity taught by Islam’s ways of life. Furthermore, once the person attached to the doctrine, it nearly impossible to clear their mind from those doctrines.

In conclusion, we couldn’t annihilate the terrorism network in this world. What we are going to do are spreading peace to people and give the youth the “whole” Islamic ways, not the “pieces” of it which could make a very contrary perception of Islam understanding. The the terrorism will fade slowly as the people's mind are embodied with the humanity peace doctrines.
